12th Newborn Screening Convention

When and where will the 2014 Newborn Screening Annual Convention be held? 
The 2014 Annual NBS Convention will be held on October 28-29 at the Fiesta Pavilion, Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila.

When is the registration period? 
Pre-registration will be accepted on or before September 12, 2014

P 2,500 Non-Doctors/Trainees/Residents

Onsite Registration 
P 4,000 Doctors 
P 3,000 Non-Doctors/Trainees/Residents 
Registration opens on October 28 at 8am. NO walk-in registration will be entertained on the second day of the convention, October 29.

What methods of payment do you accept? 
Pre-registration payment may be made by bank transfer or Postal Money Order payable toNewborn Screening Society of the Philippines, Inc on or before September 12, 2014. 
Check payment with the pre-registration rate will only be accepted until September 12, 2014 while checks with onsite rates will only be accepted until October 20, 2014 
ONLY cash payment will be accepted on October 28.

How will the organizers know if I am already registered?

Where will I claim the official receipt? 
Claim Official Receipt at the Secretariat Desk during the Convention. Kindly bring the printed deposit /transaction slip as proof of payment.

What is included in my convention registration fee? 
Your convention registration fee includes admission to the convention hall and exhibit area, convention kits, food for the two-day event (October 28: PM Snacks; October 29: AM Snacks, Lunch, PM Snacks).

Do I earn professional credits for attending the convention? 
Continuing professional education (CPE) units have been requested for the convention participants from the following professional societies: PPS, PAFP, IMAP, PNA, PMA

Where can I find exhibitor and sponsorship information? 
Reach nearly 1500 health practitioners by exhibiting at the 12th Newborn Screening Convention. The exhibit dates are October 28 to 29, 2014. Send in your intent to exhibit /sponsor to newbornscreeningconvention@gmail.com.

How do I cancel my convention registration? 
Cancellation requests must be done in writing by fax at (02)3517903 or email newbornscreeningconvention@gmail.com. Refund of registration fee will be made two (2) weeks after the convention date net of processing fee.

Can I send a representative if I cannot make it to the event? 
Replacement will be accepted for pre-registered participants who cannot make it on the date of the convention. Authorization letter and photocopy of ID of non-attending participant must be presented.
