Nadine (Nadz) Victoria Layson earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Angeles University Foundation last April 2012, and passed the licensure examination on June of the same year. She served for two years as a follow-up nurse in Newborn Screening Center – Central Luzon.  She is interested in being a proficient genetic counselor in the field of the National Comprehensive Newborn screening program.

Ma. Salve (Sal) K. Sibulo is the Newborn Screening Nurse Coordinator of Philippine General Hospital. She would like to focus on In- patient admitted in PGH for genetic counseling and to coordinate with LGU of Pasay City for GC referral.

Kevina Mariz (Kevz) M. Dajoyag earned her BS in Nursing degree from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila in 2013 and passed the licensure exam on December of the same year. She worked before as a Project Nurse in a wellness company. She is interested in specializing in the field of neurogenetics and pediatric genetic disorders. Kevina also wants to contribute to the integration of genetic counseling in the nursing profession especially on the community level. Furthermore, she aims to promote the awareness of genetic conditions in her own province, Oriental Mindoro and the MIMAROPA region.

Nemesia (Nene) D. Valdueza finished her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Golden Gate Colleges at Batangas City. She is a Nurse - IV assigned at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Ward 16 UP-PGH. She is also a member of the Nurses NBS coregroup PGH and is also a preceptor during NBS training program.

Annaveve Rose (Aviv) M. Alaban earned her degree in B.S. Biology from the University of the Philippines Visayas. She has worked as a secretariat staff at UP Manila Research Ethics Board for a year. Aviv plans to go back to her hometown in Tagbilaran City, Bohol after finishing MS GC to extend the Genetic Counseling services to her fellow Boholanos and also looks forward to work in a university as an instructor or researcher in the field of Biology or Genetic Counseling.

Loraine Kay (Kay) D. Cabral graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Santo Tomas. She then continued her graduate study and earned her Masters degree in Molecular Medicine at St. Luke's Medical Center (SLMC)-WHQM College of Medicine. For her thesis, she studied the “Detection and Characterization of Microsatellite Instability and hMLH1 methylation among Filipino Patients with Sporadic Colorectal Adenacarcinoma”. Her research gave a significant contribution in our understanding of the epigenetic aspect in cancer development. She has presented her work both in local and international scientific conferences. Currently, she is working as a technical assistant at the Molecular Cytogenetics Laboratory of the Research and Biotechnology Division of SLMC. As a basic science researcher, her works involve cancer genetics, epigenetics and biobanking. Kay hopes that one-day both the clinicians and local scientists in the Philippines find a common ground that will integrate the important roles of clinicians and basic researchers in translating bench-to-bedside medicine. She believes that genetic counselors serve a crucial role in doing so.

Dr. Kristin Grace (Tin) H. Guerrero-Gonzalez is a Genetics Fellow at the Genetics section in the Pediatrics Department of the Philippine General Hospital. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology and her medical degree at the West Visayas State University in Iloilo City. She rendered her Pediatrics residency at Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital in Bacolod City. It is her desire to practice her profession as a Clinical Geneticist in the provinces of Iloilo and Negros in the future.

Dr. Maynila (May) E. Domingo is an OB-GYN who finished her residency and fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Philippine General Hospital. She is interested in pursuing further training for fetal therapy, preconception and prenatal genetic counseling. She envisions that every Filipino woman, not only have access to quality reproductive options, but also guided through proper counseling from conception to delivery.

 
Angelo (Gelo) Aquino II has an undergraduate course in Biology from University of the Philippines Diliman. He is planning to study medicine to fulfill his passion, and eventually become a medical geneticist. He aims to excel in the medical professions, as well as in fencing, music, and the arts.
   

Dr. Cheryll (Che) Magbanua-Calalo is currently a Genetics Fellow at the Genetics section in the Pediatrics Department of the Philippine General Hospital. She earned her medical degree at the University of the Philippines Manila and rendered her Pediatrics residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Quezon City. She aims to continue her practice in the Quezon Province.
